This month, we’re talking to the team from the Spa at Coworth Park, part of the Dorchester Collection. Coworth Park offers 5 star idyllic relaxation in a beautiful rural location in the heart of Ascot. We’ve been partnered with Coworth Park for many years now, and each time we visit we are blown away by the exquisite, luxurious surroundings and the outstanding welcome of their friendly spa team. We're catching up with Spa Manager Hayley, to find out what it’s like being part of one of the most beautiful and tranquil spas in the country. We’re also discovering more about our new Sound Treatmentsthat have just launched at the Spa at Coworth Park, created in collaboration with Swell & Open Ear Music using authentic sounds from the Hebrides.
Q: Hi Hayley! Can you please introduce yourself and what you do at the Spa at Coworth Park?
A: I’m Hayley, Spa Manager. I manage a smooth operation of the Spa on a day to day basis, lead the spa team and ensure our guests are consistently receiving an outstanding service.
Q: What do you enjoy most about being part of the team at Coworth Park?
A: I love being part of such an amazing and dedicated team, we are like one big family. No day is ever the same!
Q: What gave you the idea to develop sound treatments at the spa? Can you tell us more about the concept behind them?
A: We wanted to create a bespoke yet unique treatment, which would incorporate a sound element such as singing bowls. Teresa, Spa Director approached Leon to discuss an idea she had, ishga have since worked with Brian d’Souza from Swell to develop a bespoke sound track which takes you to the Hebrides. We then created a treatment ritual using singing bowls, beginning with a warm seaweed foot bath, a Balinese inspired full body massage with warm oil pouring and a soothing scalp massage.
Q: What have guests loved so far about the new Sound Treatments?
A: The guests have loved the uniqueness of the sound treatment and how it tells a story, from the sound of the crashing waves and the gentle vibrations from the singing bowl, it takes you on a real journey from start to finish.
Q: We’re also excited to have recently launched the Jubilee Celebration Limited Edition Body Oil with you! What have guests thought about the new oil?
A: Everybody that smells the oil comments "wow”! It’s really unique. Lily of the Valley is Queens favorite flower, it also contains Jasmine, Palmarosa and Neroli, which represent the floral meadow on our grounds here at Coworth Park. It is also the blend that we use in our sound treatment.
Q: Is there anything else coming up at Coworth Park in the future that you would like to share with us?
A: In the future, we will be creating a spa garden to enhance our wellness offering here at the Spa.
