About the Marine Conservation Society

MCS

As a marine skincare brand, we care deeply about the health of our oceans and the ecosystems that call it their home. Our values align well with the Marine Conservation Society, and we hope to develop a long-term partnership to support their vital work to protect our oceans.

The Marine Conservation Society is a UK-wide community of ocean lovers all working together towards a vision of a cleaner, better-protected, healthier ocean: one we can all enjoy. They fight for our ocean through people-powered action, with science on their side. Together with communities, businesses and governments, they make a difference through social, political and cultural change. For the sake of our wildlife, our climate and our own wellbeing, by 2030 they’re calling for a third of our seas to be truly protected so nature can recover, fish stocks to be at sustainable levels and ocean pollution levels to show a clear downward trend.

"I'd like to express our huge thanks to ishga for supporting the Marine Conservation Society through their Black Friday and Christmas promotions. Our ocean needs our full support if we are to secure a bright future for ourselves, our climate and our precious wildlife and habitats. All donations received from ishga will help save our seas and support the charity towards its vision of a cleaner, better-protected and healthier ocean. I wish them all the very best for the upcoming sales!"

- Sanjay Mitra, Corporate Partnerships Manager, Marine Conservation Society.

About Bethesda Care Home & Hospice, Isle of Lewis

Bethesda Hospice

Our home of the Isle of Lewis has a close-knit, supportive community. As a company whose humble beginnings started from an unassuming portacabin in Arnish Point on Lewis, to the luxury skincare brand featured in prestigious worldwide spas that we are today, we believe it's important we give back to the place where it all began. We've been able to grow over the years not only due to the wonderful stocks of seaweed that our island provides us, but also from the supportive and collaborative people that have been by our sides since day one.

The Bethesda Hospice provides four hospice beds for specialist palliative care and twenty-one care home beds. It is required to raise more than £370,000 each year to remain open and offers a much needed and caring service to those who are terminally ill and require nursing care. The Bethesda Nursing Home and Bethesda Respite Unit are also on site to meet the care needs of the community.
